Fira sits above the main port and places you closer to the cable car, the museum quarter, and the livelier restaurant strip along Erythrou Stavrou. For a seven-night stay we typically recommend five nights in Oia and two in Fira, or alternatively a single Oia base with a private driver on call, which preserves the romance without sacrificing access.
How to do it well
