The short answer
Eden Roc Cap Cana, a Relais & Châteaux hotel in Cap Cana on the Dominican Republic’s east coast, runs a festive programme from 18 December 2026 to 2 January 2027. The anchors are the Signature Christmas Gala on Christmas Eve, the Caribbean Christmas Market on 25 December and the Allegria gala on New Year’s Eve, with themed dinners, tastings, classes and a kids’ club around them.
The night-by-night calendar is further down; if you are planning around a date that matters to the family, read the availability section first, because the suites and villas that sleep a family are the first to go.

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

On 24 December there are two dinners to choose between. The Signature Christmas Gala at Mediterraneo (from 6:00 pm) is the formal one: refined cuisine, festive performances, live entertainment, elegant decor and a Champagne toast. The Oceanside Christmas Dinner at La Palapa (from 6:00 pm) is quieter: beachfront views, a curated holiday menu and warm lighting. Carols and delicacies follow at Riva Bar from 9:00 pm.
On 25 December, La Palapa serves the Caribbean Christmas Market from 12:00 pm, an open-air feast of the catch of the day, carving stations, Italian aperitifs, artisanal breads and live music, from the à la carte menu. Santa greets the children at the Beach Club lobby at 11:00 am, and an open-air cinema night closes the day in Palapa Garden from 7:00 pm.
The evenings before Christmas

The run-up is built around Italian and Mediterranean evenings. Night in Tuscany (18 December, Mediterraneo Pool, from 6:00 pm) pairs rustic dishes and Chianti or Brunello with live acoustic music. Caribbean Omakase Night (20 December, Beach Club, 7:00 pm) is a tasting journey of Dominican and Caribbean ingredients. Pranzo all’Italiana (21 December, La Palapa, 12:00 pm) is a family-style lunch of sharing platters, and Night in Provence (22 December, Blue Grill + Bar, from 6:00 pm) is a dinner of Provençal dishes and chilled rosé. BBQ Under the Stars (23 December, Beach Club, from 6:00 pm) is chef-hosted, with fire pits and prime meats and seafood.
Between Christmas and New Year

The programme keeps its pace after 25 December. Social Saturday: La Dolce Vita (26 December, La Palapa, from 6:00 pm, à la carte) is an evening of candlelit tables, vintage jazz and Aperol Spritz. The Maguro Tuna Show (27 December, Blue Grill + Bar, from 7:00 pm) has the sushi chefs carve a whole bluefin tuna live. Omakase all’Italiana (28 December, Beach Bar, from 7:00 pm) is five Italian-inspired courses, Prime Steak (29 December, Blue Grill + Bar, 6:00 pm) is a grill night, and Taco Night (30 December, Punta Espada, from 6:00 pm) closes the week. Daytime has tequila and rum tastings at Riva Bar, a sushi and sashimi class, a pizza class, a croissant class and a Bûche de Noël master class.
New Year’s Eve: Allegria and Sea of Lights

Allegria, the Caribbean Gala (31 December, from 7:45 pm) is the signature night. This year it takes its cue from the Met Gala and rolls out a green carpet: a garden of palms lit by candlelight, a grand buffet at 8:30 pm, live music and a show to welcome 2027, then an open bar from 11:00 pm. The dress code is Caribbean Couture, black tie with an island accent. Advance reservation is required, payments are non-refundable, and the hotel quotes special rates for Eden Roc Beach Club members and Cap Cana residents; your advisor confirms the rates. Beverages during dinner are à la carte.
The alternative is Sea of Lights at La Palapa (from 7:00 pm): New Year’s Eve by the ocean with drinks, hors d’oeuvres and music, a lighter evening for families with younger children.
The first sunset of 2027

On 1 January the First Sunset of 2027 at Palapa Cliff (5:00 pm) has live music, wines and cocktails. The holiday closes on 2 January with a Beach BBQ at the Beach Club pool deck (from 6:00 pm), with a DJ as the sun goes down.
For families: the Koko Kids Club

Koko Kids Club runs activities from morning to evening every day of the programme: Christmas card design, piñata workshops, cookie decorating, a Santa’s hat relay, a Christmas pajama party, karaoke, an elf adventure quest and movie nights. Several evenings are open to children too, and the whole family can join the family mixology class on 22 December and the Christmas cookies class on 23 December.
Where you eat

Cuisine is central to the Relais & Châteaux experience, and the programme runs through three kitchens. Mediterraneo serves dinner from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm with Mediterranean cuisine and a local flair. La Palapa returns this season reimagined with the flavours of the Italian Riviera and serves all day, from 12:00 pm to midnight. BLUE Grill + Bar serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and has a bar and wine showcase, a cigar cellar and poolside rotisserie afternoons.
Wellness and daily activities

Wellness sessions run at 11:00 am every day in the Wellness Room, from yoga and stretch rituals to an ice bath and guided meditation. Outdoors there are bike tours of Cap Cana’s eco-trail, kayak and afternoon tea, a Dominican cigar-rolling session and sunset aperitifs at the Beach Club.
