Moving between two or three bases adds the contrast of Nice's Belle Époque grid, the quieter Antibes old port, and the Cannes Croisette on your own schedule, without the crowds dictating your itinerary. For seven nights we generally recommend anchoring in one location and taking day excursions rather than repacking mid-journey, though we design it either way. The right answer depends entirely on how you like your mornings to begin.
How to do it well

- Reserve Mougins terrace tables by March for July and August — the best outdoor seats at the top restaurants are allocated months in advance and do not appear on public booking platforms.
