How to do it well

- Sequence the reef first while you are fresh, then let the rainforest slow you down before you leave.
- Allow a full day for the outer reef by private boat; the near reef is convenient but far less alive.
- Do not try to cover both the northern and southern reef in one trip; choose one region and go deep.
